Kenya Parks is a Marks, Miss. native who has always been a talented speaker. In school in churches, she was always called upon to engage and move various audiences. It wasn’t until she was an adult that she found a calling for her voice.

As a child, she’d been violated by someone she knew and trusted. Threatened to keep her mouth closed about it, Kenya pushed the memories to the farthest recesses of her mind. She went on to graduate from Madison Shannon Palmer High School and later Jackson State University in Jackson, Miss. earning a degree in Social Work. Kenya worked several jobs in food services, managing large and small teams. There was something that kept bothering her. It came out as attitude, difficulty dealing with others. She now knows that childhood abuse kept nagging her.

Kenya is a speaker, mentor and a service coach, but the she considers her most important role as that of a mother.
